Hey Everyone
What Oly-camera and printer do you use for your print outs at home ?

Since I've become a member here a couple of weeks ago I've read quite a lot about printers on what they can and cannot do, bottom line is though

are you having fun with your Digital-Passion ?

Here's what I have been using :
CAMERA : OLY-C4040
PRINTER : EPSON 880

for what its worth I print all of my shots at 2880x720, which to me, it produces jaw-dropping prints, me is very, very happy 8-)--To become wise, one must walk with the wise...

I am using:

Camera: OLY-C4040
Printer: Epson 785EPX

Take a peek at my post "Snow Much Fun", I printed this out at the specs you refered to and the kids just pop right out of the page.

I use mostly my 2100UZ, but I am beginning to carry my 3040Z along when I don't want such a large camera.

I love my Epson Photo 870. It's an older model, but you can pickup the 785XP with a rebate if you have bought an OLY since mid August for a great price. See the Epson site for the rebate form. Also Epson sells refurbs of the 870 for about $100 with a full year's warranty. -- http://www.pbase.com/julivalley/galleries21oo , B-3oo3o4oJuli

Are you using strictly Epson cartridges? Have you tried any third party less costly ones ? Just curious. Thanks.

I usea a 2100 and 3030. As for printing, I get my prints done at a couple different online photo printing services. Much cheaper than buying ink and paper all the time and they use real photo paper also.

Just FYI, some of the Ritz Camera stores in my area (Houston) still have some Epson 870 printers in stock. I believe they're selling for $100.

The cameras I use are the 2100 and 3040. My printer is an Epson 870. My wife is using a 2100 and she's starting to edit and print out her own pictures on the HP 970Cse.

C3030 and C2100 with Epson Photo 890. I rarely use the 2880dpi as 720dpi prints are great for snapshots.

I've only had the camera for two weeks, a C-3000Z. My printer is an HP 940C. I have tried using the cheap paper from a local computer show, 50 sheets for $7.50. It looks like good photo quality paper but when you do a print it looks like the people have some type of disease. I haven't found a setting on the printer that will give good results with the cheap paper. I just tried HP premium plus photo paper. I printed a 5x7 print from a 1600x1200 Tiff and needless to say I very pleased with the results, it looks like a regular photograph. I had an Epson, I think it was a 740. It went belly up when it was 13 months old (just out of warranty).--We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give. - Winston Churchill

Hi
How would you compare the two printers, the HP 970Cse and the Epson ?
I believe the HP is not a specific printer for photos. They make nice photos; I have a slightly earlier model-882Cse. I just think the Epson Photo printers are better for print longevity. The HP is a better general purpose printer IMHO. -- http://www.pbase.com/julivalley/galleries21oo , B-3oo3o4oJuli

I have and C3000z and I'm real happy with it. But if I were to buy another camera it would have to be the C2100UZ.

For printing I'm still using my trusty old Epson Stylus Color 740.

Cheers

I spent hours at Best Buy comparing prints from Epson, HP, Lexmark.

I found that my 4 year old HPOffice Jet 1170, with HP photo paper outdid them all.
