Hmmmm, i have to say, i really dont know. I like it, and then i look again and i dont. I think you may have hit the nail on the head yourself though, too over worked?

I have a slight issue with the ammount of soft-focus, it seems OTT. seems a nice picture that could have worked out really well, just i cant put my fingure on why i cant gel with it.

No a helpful comment so i have to say sorry!
 
That's a fantastic shot and I don't mind the extra working over you gave it except for one thing. I like the amount of softness to the image but I think you should keep the eyes sharp. The eyes really make a difference and are very important. I think it's well worth trying another version to see if you like it with sharper eyes.

I like that you cut most of the white sleeve out of the second one. The white sleeve was a distracting element. That distracted from the face.
