Thanks for the compassion. They look about the same , both good. I will try to post some of mine with the CA. I still get a little but have learned to control it with appature and position. I also have found that even with spot focus you have to be careful as it seems to sometimes want to grab something close. All in all I am pleased with the setup. I do get some vingetting with only optical zoom. I did not see it on yours did you crop or add a touch of DZ or don't you get any.

Thanks again for the pics--Jeff SWB9ZPOUZI 21OO

No digital zoom.

All the shots were straight from the camera and nothing but a bit of extra JPEC compression in PS.

The vignetting is quite minimal, but still there. It becomes more apparent after a levels adjustment. Try the vignetting fix shown below - you dont have to give up any pixels! There's also a fix for it in Panorama Tools, but haven' had a chance to check it out for myself yet.

The main advantage of the 1.4's over the C-Series TC's is the minimal light loss and vignetting.

Dave

PS - You might get a bit more vignetting if your lenses are spaced further apart. I've got mine spaced about as close as possible. I wonder if that might possibly affect the CA levels at all???
