Again I do apologize for the BS remarks... I can tell you this.... no one is going to work on your camera for several days... a few hours is all you will get, but that not a true reflection of all the other steps, so I never said that the turnaround time was 24 hours. I said they fixed it in a day... If they can build and test a camera in 20 minutes they can fix and test it. in a few hours...In a message you posted last Thursday you wroteI have not seen anyone post a 24/48 hour turn around and
If Ive offended anyone, it was unintentional... my only ***** was
exaggerated negative hype like 24 hr turn around...sticking with
the facts helps to keep us all on a level plane... exagerated BS
forces some who believe this to jump ship...or dispair.
"...they received it on Tuesday, and was in repair on Wednesday, It
is now repaired and awaiting shipment back to me. "
A little rough to call BS, don't you think. Doing the math on your
post above it seems 48 hours is about right.
Remember, I dropped my camera off at their door and told them I'd
be back to pick it up as soon as they called me to tell me it was
completed - no shipping delay, no UPS closed on Saturday.
As for the other part of my post - you won't have to search too far
here to find folks that have had their "first shot black" issues
addressed by reseating an LCD cable and replacing a battery door or
other such nonsense.
It doesn't build much confidence.
Recent developments have shown improvements - your repair included.
I hope it's a trend.
Believe me, I'm glad it's working out well for everyone sending
their eqipment in recently. As I said earlier, I appreciate your
positive outlook. It really is refreshing. I hope everything comes
up sunshine and lollypops for me too, but I've been here for quite
a while and seen the Sony/KM changeover debacle from the front row.
I know Sony is doing the best they can and it seems now that they
have might have finally gotten this runaway freight train slowed
down and headed in the right direction.
That said, a handfull of successful repairs doesn't instantly erase
everything we have experienced over the last half year or so.
My experience with the staff at PC was great. I don't think the
7-10 days I was quoted is unreasonable, but I guess after reading
this post and seeing the quick turn around many were getting I had
my hopes up.
when I talked about turn around time , I meant from the day I mailed it to the day I received it... ... 7 days...
the actual time they had it in their hands in the actual fix step was less than a day, but there are other factors in this repair process
mailing out
receiving
repairing
sending to shipping
mailing out and receiving back..
7 to 10 days has to be an estimate of their work load, shipping and receiving load.
