Depressed? Fuji link Suicide

Hmm. I rechecked to see if the 'Very depressed' 6900 link had been corrected or modified in any way.
It seems to have suicided.

Yep, you are right, the link you posted above does look somewhat sick, however if you go to the home page, the consumer cameras, then digital cameras it is there !! Who know what is going on at Fuji US?

Hi Cassandra and Duncan

It was the link in the 'Very depressed' thread that showed that the 6900 is discontinued ( only spelled wrongly).

I forgot that there were lots of other cameras on the page, so it was pretty stupid of me to post the link, but I was too busy laughing to think straight.

Yep, you are right, the link you posted above does look somewhat
sick, however if you go to the home page, the consumer cameras,

It still shows as New but discontinued!

The 6900 seems alive and well on the Fuji UK website, I wonder if there is a problem with the US website. Perhaps a disgruntled employee or just plain old stupidity on the part of the site administrator.

Probably someone in the company hacked off that the camera seems to be in incredible short supply in the USA. What's even sadder in a way is that whoever wrote the "discontinued" line left the bottom line reading "Coming in summer 2001"!

Maybe it's a saboteur from Olympus/Canon or whoever?
