In the past I was able to use Canon's EOS Viewer Utility to easily view my raw files, zoom in if needed, and easily advance to the next picture. This software product is not offered any longer by Canon. Canon DPP software let's me look at Raw files and zoom, but it does not have a next picture option that I am aware of. Canon Zoom Browser does not let you easily zoom on Raw pictures. Is there something I am missing in DPP or Zoom Browser? If not, how do you all quickly review and delete your Raw files?

DPP lets you see all the thumbnails. You can double click on one see it bigger, even 100%. I do not use zoom browser, so no idea.

There are some other programs like Irfanview wich lets you see Raw pics. I have not used it for a very long time, so do not remember details of it and probebley it has changed over period of time.

If I am not wrong, you can see Raw pics in Win XP by downloading some plug-in.

There are some great tutorials on DPP here. It can do all kinds of stuff - you really owe it to yourself to spend a few minutes watching the tutorials so you can get the most out of this s/w. It is really very capable.

In DPP, go to Tools, Start Quickquick tool to quickly go through your pics one after another.

ZoomBrowser does a good job with jpegs. However, it does not allow you to zoom in on raw images. You can display original image but then it takes some time converting it to .tif format. ZoomBrowser does not seem to be a really good tool for raw images. I would expect DPP to be the primary tool for raw images.

Thanks for this info. Like the previous post I have never used that tool. This looks to work great after you have marked the pictures.

This tool would work great if it had a "next" option. Maybe I will email Canon with this suggestion.

You nailed it! If I select all the images in the folder I can then start the edit image window and use the arrow down button to go from picture to picture.

Thanks!
