Took a drive the other day to the Hocking Hills region of southeast Ohio. Still nice colors in some areas. In others, leaves had been blown down by unusually strong winds in the few previous days.

Overall, a pleasant outing, though there were millions of ladybugs in some areas. Had to close the car windows to keep them out. You'll see them on the rock closeups.

There's actually a natural bridge in Ohio! It's certainly not Arches National, but...

(BTW, Is this more images than one should include in a single post?)

Anyone else struck by the semblance of a menacing face in this first shot?

Thanks for looking.

Nice series, not to many in my opinion, but then I have high speed. I like the cabin shot best, really nice!!

I really like this forum and so I'm making an effort to add something rather than just taking. I would like to comment on some of your shots but please accept my neophyte disclaimer. Picture #3 has some very beautiful colors and I like the way the light gently washes the hillside. Picture # 6 interests me but leaves me stumped (if you'll pardon the pun) because I feel like there is perhaps a better angle/pov. I'm unable to articulate why I feel this way so don't read too much into it. Picture #8 is lovely and transports me to that place. I can hear the water and feel the cool dampness associated with such a spot. Thanks for sharing and please don't hesitate to let me know if I've overstepped my bounds.

George, I don't know how DSL compares speedwise to cable but since the photos seem to load all at one time before you can see any of them it takes quite a while to load for me and for someone with dialup. Forget it they most likely would giive up.

I would suggest keeping a single post to five photos. Just post twice.

Oh yeah, the photos. Definately worth waiting for them to load.

series George! I agree that for someone on dial-up, this would be way too many pictures and perhaps two posts would be a good alternative. Peg

Thank you, qball.

The foliage shot... Interesting that it was only in one small area where the leaves looked nice. Another mile down the road in either direction and there were lots of bare limbs.

Thank you, Michelle. I'm glad you like the cabin. I debated whether to post it, thinking hey, it's just a cabin, a touristy postcard. That said, I was pleased with it and am glad now that I included it.

A compliment from you counts for much in my book. Thank you.

I have DSL also, and when I previewed the post it seemed a bit slow to me also. Thinking splitting them up as you suggest would be a good idea. (I was on dial-up not long ago and it was so frustrating.)

Thanks again.

I love rocks! I enjoyed your close ups. I wish I could get there with my new macro lens and photograph the lady birds though.

You certainly have not overstepped your bounds. I agree about the stump. I'm not too fond of the shot myself. Why didn't I think of a different angle? That may well have made a difference.

Thank you for your comments.

I'm on dial-up right now. So slow!

So I'll just say, in this one post, thank you to all who commented.
