Buy.com has the Nikon EN-EL1 rechargeable battery for a low $25.95. This is the battery for the 775, 880, 885, and 995. Much better than Ritz Camera at $49.95. (Thanks Dan)

Product is back ordered at buy.com. Apparently there are non-Nikon batteries (& AC adapters) available at about $30 each-are these reliable substitutes?--juswes

from Buy.com, so beware. I'm also waiting on the AC adapter for coolpix. I can't understand what is so hard about obtaining stock on these items. Something smells fishy, like a loss-leader advertisement.

I purchased two batteries at buy.com for $25 each early December. No problems. A little over a week to deliver.

Uh, "loss leader" assumes they use it for advertising, which they don't.
