Has expected my D1x back from Nikon yesterday (yesterday was Thursday). Shot off an email and I get this back –
“Unfortunately the courier we use for Ireland is City Air who do not provide us with track numbers however in cases of missing parcels we are able to trace through them.”
UK forum members – do you know of City Air – I can’t find them and they are not a Cork airport currier service where we have, DHL, TNT, FedEx, UPS and Interlink.
Assuming the package is safe and it does not arrive today – then it will have been somewhere in transit for more than a week (assuming that I cannot get the parcel over the weekend – with any of the international couriers one can see where one’s parcel is going – I traced my Epson 890 with TNT to the midlands of Ireland at close of business on a Friday – I knew it was dead and it was indeed DOA – the box was wet through and battery and scarred – but I’ve also picked up things from their depots on Saturday mornings even though they are not open for business).
