I have several Epson inkjet printers and am thinking of a change. I've looked at the large format 1220CSE printer by HP. It is a tank in comparison to the Epsons. Very robust looking. I like the idea of replacing the print heads with a new cartridge change. I have an Epson 900 now with a print head problem that would require a repair cost at least double its current value, making it a trash can item.
What I want to know is the level of print quality I can expect with the 1220C series of HP printers in comparison to my Epson 900, 980 and my 870. I like the idea of being able to do large format prints, and I like the build quality of the hp printer. I also like the possibility of getting the 1220 C/PS model for a $100 more and get Post Script capability.
How about it. Would I be satisfied with the photo quality of the 1220 after being used to the Epsons.--Dave Lewis
