Last week I upgraded from my Canon 300D to the 30D. These are the first shots with my new camera...

Some shots from Leg 2 on Saturday (The Sotico jumps at Bannister, Western Australia)

:)

They look brilliant. The jumps there are part of a fantastic special stage that always gets great media coverage and will be missed when the rally moves to Queensland.

Just curious - what lense were you using?

I was using my 100mm f2.8 macro lens surprisingly. The images are cropped a fair degree as I decided to forego the focal length and go for the quality. My zoom lens is the 75-300mm and using it at 200mm just wasn't an option for me.

Fantastic.
One question though.
Did you pre-focus or let the AI Servo do the tracking?
--
If in doubt, BANG OUT.

All of them tracked with AI Servo. Worked a treat. The only out of focus images that I got were from errors in my panning...

Great shots!
Only one shot of the EVOLUTION; do you have any more?
I love those cars.

Curious about the OTHER guys results... wide angle panning I hope
