hi guys,
i found dpreview about 5-6 years ago when i was in the market for a p&s... i ended up picking up a toshiba pdr-m70 (3mp with some manual controls).
camera worked out well but was too bulky for my needs back then so i sold it off and moved up to a canon powershot s400 about 3 years ago. i liked the camera, took some funs pics with it but wished i had more control over the shots and hated the slow performance.
lately i've been finalizing plans for a trip to india and figured that i should get myself a more capable camera to learn and become proficient with so that i could capture some of the beauty over there. today i picked up the rebel xti black body w/ kit from costco.
so far, i'm loving it. i have the understanding exposure and learning to see creatively books arriving this week so i can start playing around and getting practice over the next 4 weeks before i head out for the month of december.
here are some shots i captured today @ my alma mater. i took 80-90% on the automatic setting. images have just been resized using zoombrowser... let me know what you guys think!
