olb barn & church in the woods

Great Shots....you are getting good with that thing.

You are going to make some other "barn photo takers" jealous.

Can I work on that barn for you in PhotoShop?

Richard70,

Very impressive. I like the sun just setting over the roof. Looking forward to Dom's remake too. Thanks for posting.

looks prett sharp and clear. Just out of curiosity .. could you enhance the barn and surrounding without losing the sun showing through the clouds over the barn?

Richard, very nice series. As a lover of old barns I really enjoyed these. The lighting in 949543 is great. Also the sundown shots are nice. Did you use a star filter or just close down the lens to F8 to get the nice starburst effects? Good job...Bob -- http://www.pbase.com/mofongoToday 's subliminal thought is:

I love old barns and they are leaving us quickly. I especially like the picture of the bridge. It seems that you did everything right on that picture. Congratulations on having a great eye.

Thanks Bob. I didn't use any filters . Infact I don't own any yet. I just played with diferent lens settings until I found the result that I wanted. That is the beauty about digital cameras. Richard

Daniella : I never cropped it. It is stuck between a grocery store, a house, and a church and was pretty much the only shot I had that didn't show all that, but still show the sun above the roof. Thank for taking the time look and comment. I might go back on another day and see if I can get a better shot at it.

All of those photos are beautiful. I do like the sunset star effect. I thought that was a filter too. Very good pictures! Hopefully I will have some better ones to post someday! I tried to shoot a sunset the other day, and only got 2 or 3 shots in before it was gone! The sun sets too early this time of year! Good job on those though!

Hi,

Ho that's too bad, it would look really nice with a little bit more of the front. Still a great photo for the mood and ambiance.

They are good! I also took a look at some of the shots with the finePix1400 and they too are quite good. Me thinks that having an eye for good composition and interesting subject, etc. is more important than the camera. I expect that we will see lots more good stuff out of your 2100.
