lexar, viking and sandisk manufacture memory sticks under license
from sony...operationally, they should all work fine in your F707.
the other brands have to priced less than the sony-branded ones or
no one would buy them...think about it: if you could choose 128mb
memory sticks from sony, viking, lexar and sandisk and they were
all the same price, which would you pick? the sony of course!
likewise, any memory stick reader should work for you. the
dazzle-brand readers at
http://www.computers4sure.com are only about $17
(
http://www.computers4sure.com/Product.asp?ProductID=392243&iid=342 ).
btw, i would personally buy the lexar 128mb memory sticks from
http://www.buy.com for only $60.95
(
http://www.us.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=10297925 ) and you can
get a $15 rebate too
(
http://ak.buy.com/buy_assets/retail/pdfs/001/Mailin_RebateforJan1toJan312002.pdf ). buy at least $100 worth of stuff and use this new $10 off coupon:
http://www.us.buy.com/retail/coupon.asp?prid=8156689 ! (found this at
http://www.techbargains.com )
i just bought my first digital camera, a sony dsc_f707. the storage
media confuses me. i need a 128 mg memory stick and see lexar's for
@$70 while sony's are @104 at pvamll. is there a defference between
the two of them?
also, the floppy reader. does it matter if i buy the lexar instead
of the sony?
thanks for the help!
