Hey, everyone...How 'bout we all go visit Ray, and he can give us a workshop on any of his technical skills he chooses, and we can take pics of all the places he's shown us?

(Just kidding, Ray! Don't run and hide!)

You do beautiful work with magnificent scenery. Your winters aren't fun??? Neither are ours, and I have to drive 10 miles to find a hill. And sheep? Only see 'em cut up and wrapped in plastic at the supermarket.

hi ray only just seen this, it is rather restrained for you, but a glorious pic of one of my favourite parts of our country, if i send you some pics of cabbage fields and mud covered roads, could you turn them into something like this, regards mik

Must say, we do live in a lovely part of the world but take it for granted and rarely visit - should go into the Lakes more often.

i will hold you to that ray, probably wont be til next spring though, trying to travel through or out of lincolnshire at this time of year is rather fraught. what with the agricultural road blocks and the mud they spread all over, and the speed(sorry safety) cameras,et al, regards mik.

really enjoyed this shot, particularly as the Lake district is my second favourite place in the UK (after Snowdonia).

My primary interest is hiking but I've recently discovered the joys of landscape photography thanks to my new digital camera - I now take it on every hike I go on.

Anyway, back to your shot - normally I go out of my way to avoid having buildings or structures in my shots but having seen this I think I'm definitely missing something - your shot really conveys the "feel" of the lake district, really nice capture - out of interest where was it taken, is it around Coniston ??

Lovely shot, Ray! I like your point of view. I was there (Cumbria) just last month, and as my husband said, my camera "was smokin'!" Everywhere I looked there was the most incredible scenery. And skies! One of the best things about it is the public footpaths everywhere so that access is open to all.......in this country (US) there are "NO TRESPASSING!" signs everywhere on private property.

Here's one of my pictures from that area; I'm still processing them.
