I found this site AFTER I bought mine. I paid $1299 for mine at Vistek (www.vistek.ca) as I wanted the camera immediately and they were THE only ones to have it in stock. Henry's, Black's, Future Shop and other Toronto shops were out of stock and on back order.

I bought mine about 3 weeks ago at Aden Camera at 164 Yonge St. Toronto for $299.99, with full Canadian warranty.

That $1299 is the same price on Future Shop. Henry's was a measly $10 off, and Anthony told me to go to the Steeles shop ASAP (on a Friday) when I called to reserve one. I bought mine at Grey Tech, up in Markham's industrial/commerce parks, for $1199 cash discounted; the regular price comes up to a little over $1200, which was still cheaper than the big box stores.

I called Future Shop that same day and they were out of stock; they called at around 4pm the next day that they have it in stock, exactly two hours after I took it off Grey Tech.

Gee, I don't know if it was a special or not. I just emailed them, got the price and drove from Barrie to Toronto to purchase it. Nothing on the invoice indicates it was a special deal. I wanted to get the external flash cord at the same time but their price was somewhere around $95.00. I did buy one for $84.99 at Downtown Camera on Queen St. E. near Church St also in Toronto.

I'd try phoning them to see what the score is, as a difference of $90.00 is one H--- of a lot.

You might want to try Downtown Camera as well, but I have no idea what their price might be.

I'm a happy camper with my G2, the Off-camera Shoe cord 2 and especially the 420EX...awsome flash.
