Jennie, I posted on the other thread that you have to install it after you download it! You need to double click the .exe file you now have on your desktop! You can't just download it and expect to see it show up in Photoshop. K.

Here's a couple of quick samples with buzz Professional:

That is AWSOME Barry

Was it easy to do w/that s/w?

Well, I was able to DL the plug in... but it doesn't have an option for watercolor or anything close to that? Maybe its not even called that that you used?

Also, when I play w/a photo, and go to OK it, it tells me i dont have enough memory for the program ????

Help!
Can you email me off line? do you mind?
Jennie
THANKS!

I'd like to know the settings you use in PS. Is the watercolor filter in PS 6 like the one in PS 5.0LE? I should be getting 6.0 sometime soon

what do you have the gaussian blur & watercolor settings on?
Can I see a sample?

email me if you'd like :)
THANKS!

Jen
Hi Everyone

I own my own photography studio and I love the "watercolor look" on
watercolor paper. I currently have PS 5.0LE and i've been trying
to learn this technique in the last few days. I know very little
about PS.

Please come check out my samples at my web site at tell me what you
think. If there is anything you add? change? and if so, how would
you do it (need directions!)

Also, if anyone knows "how" to do this with PS5.0LE i'd love to learn!

Thanks, Jennie

One thing I do for a water color effect is too put a gaussian blur
to the image in Ps then convert useing the filter for water color
that comes with Ps. Use gaussian blur spareingly to blur the finer
details, experiment until you get the look you want, it works well
for me..hope this helps, email me for any questions...ps u can even
enhance the colors too to help with the effect either before or
after the watercolor filter is applied

Here's a link to some tutorials that actually do better than I did with this pic. All I used was "Simplifier One".

I saw this, but it didn't look anything like "that" for me (the one with the young boy)

When you say you only used one tool, what were the settings?
Thanks!

Here is an example of one i did, sorry I did not record the settings exactly as they need to be tweaked for each photo and taste...but make a dupelicate and then add gaussian blur about 10% at first, this helps to wipe out fine details that you do not have in water color paintings..., then in Ps 6 its in artistic filters, then at the bottom is water color...thats basically how I did this and a couple others

John, That's pretty neat. I'd like to see it with the watercolor effect too... w/out the canvas. WHat settings did you use?
Thanks!
Jen
Jennie...

I'm experimenting, too. How are these?

Wow, that is really gorgeous. What S/W did you use to do it?
Awsome. Jennie
Thank you. :)

I used Photoshop and the information on the above page. I tweeked it a bit by painting out extra lines and painting in some others using the paint brush tool set to black and white. I also added another layer set to color and increased and changed some of the colors by painting on that layer.

Some photos are easier to do than others.

This illustrates someting that buzzPro2 does that you have to be very careful about ... it destroys the highlight in the eye if you are not careful and gives the eyes a "hollow" look. Easily fixed ... just put a highlight back in with Photoshop. The lower image ... the "painting" ... needs the eyes fixed ... highlight added. Cheers ... :-)

That's what I've been meaning to ask...

How do you do that to the eyes??? add highlights??? Please let me know :) thanks, Jennie

Simple ... use a very tiny soft brush ... color white ... and place a highlight in the correct location in relation to the direction of the light in each eye. Cheers ... :-)

I cannot figure our how to explain this any more clear than I already have. It is just a very simple process of placing a small white speck (highlight) in the eye. Look at anyone's eyes ... you will see a reflection of light (highlight). It is normal and looks strange when missing ... so if you do anything during the processing of an image that removes it ... you need to replace it. If anyone else can explain this any better than I ... please give it a go. Cheers ... :-)

Jennie,

Use the paintbrush tool, select the smallest brush, set color to white and dab it where the highlights used to be in the original image. If necessary, adjust the opacity and/or brush size as necessary.

Hope this helps. ;)
