They look great.

The reeds in the foreground of the first shot seem to be a little distracting, though.
My favorite shot is of the path - that's very nice!

Nice Pierre,

I like the second pic with what looks like willow limbs in front of the shot.

I normally shoot candids :), but today I tried llandscapes for a
change.

17-55
I think #1 needs cropping as others have said; otherwise nice shot with good lighting between the brooding sky and the fall colors.
  1. 2 is nice; I would crop off the left edge to leave a nice framing look.
  1. 3 is very nice (my favorite), but it needs to be straightened. I'm afraid the trees are going to fall over.
I like #5 a lot. OK, #5 is really my favorite.

These are very nice, especially if you didn't do a lot of PPing. Gotta love the 17-55. Instead of my trusty 17-55, I took primes on a trip this past week as sort of an exercise, and I will never ever do that again. There is no comparison for either the joy of shooting or the results.

How close to these pics do you think you could get with your d50 and same lenses vs d200.

They all look great to me.

Thanks all! I agree the "path" pic needs to be straightened out and maybe a bit of trimming for some edge distractions with others.

The D50 is a great cam, I still own it, but as good as it is, IMHO I don't think the colors would be as vibrant for landscapes as with the D200.

Hi Pierre,

Very nice. Where are you located, Toronto? I'll be in central Pennsylvania in one week - will there still be colors or is it past prime?

I'm a great admirer of your pbase album with the 105 DC lens and the model shoot. I'm saving to buy that lens.

Hi & Thanks Gene,

I live in Toronto and the landscape pictures were taken at a place here called High Park. The 17-55 landscape shots were taken handheld btw. I must of got lucky that night, with the 105 I mean :) I think you should be ok with the leaves in Pensylvania. They're turning a bit late this year. Have a good trip!

Nice set, Pierre.

These look like High Park in Toronto? It's just down the street from me. Great place for hikes and photos.

Thanks for sharing.
