Geez, I thought someone would respond. I've had no response to my question (see below about 8GB Ridata cards). Maybe that answers my question....? Better stick to the expensive Sandisk

I am not going to be much help with the 8GB cards, but I have been using Ridata cards in the 2GB, 1GB and 512MB flavors for quite a while with my D200 and D100 and they have worked fine for me.

I am not sure about putting all of my eggs in one basket on an 8GB card though, if something gets corrupted you could possibly lose a bunch of images.

I know how you feel about the lack of replies, about two weeks ago I posted some portrait samples in the Lighting forum and got only a few replies. I was hoping for more feedback. I guess we are suffering from the Rodney Dangerfield syndrome, "we get no respect".

Hey - Thanks for your reply. And for the other guy - I did a bunch of searches before posting. As I said before, I'll play it safe and go Sandisk. Thanks anyway

Ive got a Ridata 150x 8gig pro card. Works great with my D2X- just as fast as my Lexars. Its pro too so its got the lifetime warranty in case it gets corrupted- Ive had two Lexars do this and they replaced them for free just like Ridata will if this card fails. I was leary about the price differential but this card works great and is half the price. -p

I sue the 8GB 150x and it works very well.
