So now we (Adobe, Inc) have a 5d. I'm their internal photographer. Just picked it up this morning. I have been using our 20d for some time now, so pretty excited.

Got the 24-105 and 17-40 for starters, but also want to get a fixed for portraits. Any recommendations for that?

Gotta scour the 5d threads now for tips and tricks!!!!

Why don't you guys ever make software for Linux?

Oh dear.....

I will try to stear this back to a discussion about lenses.

For portrait on the 5D there are a number of choices,

85 f1.8 USM
85 f1.2 L USM
135 f2 L USM
100 f2 USM

All excellent lenses! (might be some I havnt mentioned here)

You just have to decide which are long or short enough for your type of portraiture. I suppose framing with the 24-105 will give you a good idea of which FL you like.

Sorry, I can't say when any of our products will be released, as I'm sure you can understand. CS3 will be the biggest software release in history, that much I can say. I can't wait, personally!

I also don't use Version Cue, so can't relate to that question.

Thanks for the lens suggestions!
