No bugs, sorry, but hopefully other interesting images taken in the macro world. I visited Nanaimo a few days ago for the (Canadian) thanks giving weekend and it was mostly a getaway from the usual life, which worked perfectly. I took most of my gear with me since I didn't know what to expect, the macro, Tamron 90mm f/2.8 SP Macro (Pre-Di), came in very handy. Some are ofcourse with other lenses and I'll mention that with the images.

More to follow in the next post... so far all with the same lens.

I really like those dew macros, very nice. The 16-45 scenery shots are very pretty too. Seems you had a fun weekend there :-)

Thanks for sharing.

All of them are so good it is hard to pick a favorite, though I tend to lean towards the one you picked as your favorite.

You know Asad, I have watched you and others in the forum really grow in your photographic skills over the past two years, I really applaud you the fine work that you do.

Now, if I can just quit spinning my wheels and start advancing in my own skills. Oh well, if it never happens, it is fun to just be able to take a fairly good snapshot once in awhile. :-)

Yeah, lots of fun, getting immersed in macro stuff is a very good way to lose yourself in the surroundings. Makes you pay attention to the not-so-obvious... I'm not leaving my macro behind on future travels!
Thanks for sharing.
You're welcome, thanks for viewing and commenting. :-)

I really appreciate the nice comment... so long as I'm making progress, I'm a happy person. Glad you think I'm improving and hope to continue that way.

No Ron... actually I think you are mostly busy hacking the hell out of your lenses and teleconverters... then amidst the duct-taped lenses we are treated to some stunning imagery... after which Ron goes back to splicing lenses. :-D

The last two weekends I've gotten up early to "catch the dew" only to find either rain or a warm night and no dew. Then your thread comes up and I see what can be done with macro the Tamron 90 macro. I'm more than impressed, I can see I've got a ways to go before I reach your skill level. Did you use a tripod or were they hand held?

Yep, very capable lens, gives me little reason to look for a longer macro, but if I ever get serious about bugs then I will get a longer one, for now, though, it's fine.

Thanks for the kind compliments. :-)

All hand held, wide aperture, no flash. SR helps with macro too. ;-)

Thank you indeed. I also enjoyed your thread. I found the very first shot along with the first shot in the last post to be very well done. The simple and elegant compositions in these shots are fantastic. Overall a great thread. Thanks so much for sharing.
