It seems like Mr Buff came on here to most peoples surprise and now he is probably wishing he had an alias.

I suggest you give him feedback that helps propel his products to further improvements AFTER you have fully tested and tried to resolve the issue to see if it is product wide or your own fault.

Complaints about not getting product is ridiculous. Have you ever ordered a New Canon or Nikon body the day it is announced as shipping? How many times are you told it is coming, releasing, shipping etc..?
And you wait yet another week..

Mr. Buff has risked his capital to develop products for us without the financial structure of the huge corporations you are comparing him too--

He has one of the best return and upgrade policies bar none!

They historically have one of the best customer service histories, so please do not use isolated one sided incidents to "flame" him or his company on here.

I would value the presence of him on here to learn more, develop ideas and suggestions for new products.

I do not know him personally and have never met him.

As the old proverb says- "Don't criticize your neighbor till you've walked a mile in thier shoes"..Dont pay $400 for a product that is fully refundable and complain after 1 day of using it, to someone who spent probably $100K and 8 months in developemnt at least.

As an Alien Bee and Whitelightning owner for over 8 years, my lights have stayed pretty much the same, its been my photography that improved the most.

Thanks Paul!

P.S. Yes I just got mine and am working with it before I post pictures!

Though I don't own any of his equipment right now I have in the past and probably will in the future. Perhaps if you showed more respect to people like Mr Buff the forums would get more companies participating.

AlienBees do not need anymore fanboys, Dpreview forums will not harm nor help his business, he did not risk anything with his ring light-alien boys fans will buy it no matter if it works or not.

Now get back to work at the shop or Paul will dock your pay.

A real man deals with the problems and doesn't care about customer service. He also could care less at the price he has to pay for a product no matter what alternatives there might be, just as long as his peers agree it to be 'top of the line.'

-Excuse my spelling/grammar. Yes, English is my first language.

Hey, I don't pay them.

Fact is how much a brand gets talked about is proportional to how many people use it. I know - how can that many people be that studid - right? Remember the VW - some people actually liked it - it got you down the same road as a Rolls. You pays you money you ride in what you feel good in - You slam, they fan.
Cheers,
Paul Buff
