your pics are stunning.

I must note however, that the heavy black border detracts from them severely IMO.

It's my preference but I think about 2px wide would do your pics a much better justice :D

Thanks for the compliment! I agree with the borders are to large on most of those pics. I really need to learn how to make borders. I like how several others do them here. My photoshop skills are nonexistant.

Roman does a great job with his frames. I am looking to do something simple that I can place a title of the picture and then a signature like what Roman has done.

I'm glad that you started this thread on colors. It has helped to stir the creative juices and learn how others see things differently.
