What is the BEST CF CARD for Canon G2 ?

On Monday I get my Canon G2 from Dell ( no I didn't pay 899$, they price matched what I found on the net ) what's the best 512mb CF card to purchase for the camera ? I've been reading the posting, but there seems to be on clear winner or is there ?--Sebastian

What does BEST mean to you? Fastest, cheapest, most reliable, best buy? CF card speed performance is very camera dependent:

I doubt anybody has dozens of different manufatures 512 mb CFs to test in a G-2, so there is going to be some extrapolation here, and there are few trends in Phil's test. Best buy: 4x128 or 2x256 is going to be cheaper than 512 mb, will they be as fast?

I would go with the Ridata 512MB CF memory card from http://www.powerinnumbers.com.au for US$260 . The Ridata is a 20x CF memory card.

Going with 2x256 and the firewire reader looking for speed, longevity and reliability. Going with the Ridata and the Unity Digital Firewire Card reader. All this will be use on a laptop with the firewire built in so theres plenty of space to allocate for all the images =)... Best thing is, No more DARK ROOM!!! =-) no more film no more chemicals no more timing !!! Snap there it is..!!! I can't wait!!!
