Help make this one pop

Assuming you like the basic picture (which I do), I just tried to get the "pop" for you, without losing the subtlety of the tones surrounding her. There is a slight color cast on her (in both), but I like the magazine like look here:

Good takes already so thought I would throw in something different.

New blank layer in color mode and painted and blended two different skin tones. Some minor cloning and healing brush.
Brightned the eyes
Softned a hair.
Final curves adjustment to lighten the photo a bit.

Interesting. I really like how you evened out the skin but still kept all the texture. I think that is what was bugging me about my version. I didn't want to smooth it because I'd lose the freckles. How'd you do it?
 
I started by running Image> Apply image using the blue channel and screen mode. Then I ran Shadow/Highlights, created a b+w version and placed the color version on top in color mode. It then looked like this:



After that, it was just more contrast and color tweaking.
