Challenge 30 is closed for submissions.

You can now vote at http://www.warrensarle.com/vote/ . The voting period ends on Monday, October 9, 8:00 PM (GMT).

Click on either Kodak thumbnail to go to the corresponding voting gallery.

If you are not sure of the voting rules, click on the "Show rules" button. Then click on "Hide rules" if you don't want to see them anymore.

If you are not sure how to use the voting page, click on the "Show help" button.

Be sure to save your votes!

Please post in this thread when you have first saved your votes (you can go back later and change your votes if you wish). This will make it easier for us to contact you if there are any problems, and makes it easier for the moderator to keep track of the voting.

i voted but kept getting an error message - "total number of votes
did not match..." then i got a message that said my votes were
saved. did it work?
Odd, I can't find that message anywhere. I don't see any problems, but sometimes strange things happen on the Internet.

If you are Lewis44, your votes have been saved for the competition gallery but not the exhibition gallery. You can check to see whether the correct votes were saved by signing back into the voting page with the same name you used before, and your saved votes will be reloaded into the voting page.

Thanks Warren for starting the voting - I could not get connected to the net last night. I'm voteds, of course. Cheers, MCsaba

tried it again but got the same scenario. checked your list of browsers to try and mine(safari) was listed on it so i'm not sure what's happening.

Here's the error message that popped up after i clicked the "save your votes" button:

ERROR: The number of votes (1) is not equal to the number of lines in data/title.txt (44)

And here's what the main page looked like after i clicked the error message closed:

Your votes have been saved.
Your name: Jehosephat
Save automatically

Total votes used:
16

Remaining votes:
0

Thanks again.

I'm really sorry you're having such problems with the voting application.

Unfortunately, I don't have a Mac, so it's not likely I can reproduce the bug on my PC, which makes debugging difficult. What I can tell so far is that your cookies are corrupted. I don't know whether that's a cause or a symptom, but it might help to delete the cookies for the voting application. I don't know if Safari provides any easy way to delete cookies selectively, but if not, you can try this:

1) Open one of the voting galleries.

2) Click on the "Show bugs" button near the top of the page.

3) Click on the "Debug" button a little farther down the page.

4) Scroll down and click on the "Show cookies" button.

5) Now you should see a list of the cookies for the voting application. Next to each of the cookie names is a "Delete" button. Click on each of the "Delete" buttons. The cookies should disappear.

6) Close all browser windows (some browsers don't physically delete cookies until the browser exits).

7) Reopen the browser and try voting again.

If that doesn't help, you can send me an email at wssarle (at) nc (dot) rr (dot) com and tell me what you want to vote for.
