I know, I haven't, not yet. But why should you be as slow as I am?

bumping,

...as I, frankly, didn't find many very good pictures. I know, I have a taste for pictures that sometimes is different. For example, I don't like flower and pet pictures. This leaves me on the edge to be allowed in this forum. I guess that is also why I only once got a vote when taking part in these challenges...

When I settled for some voteable pictures they were taken outside the timeframe and too big, respectively. Maybe I shouldn't care but half of my personality can be very picky (some may say petty) with these things. Forgive me, but I don't care to find other less likeable pictures to vote for instead and... well, I hope for other more free-wheelin' minds to come and vote. I'll check in next month instead.

Hi Jonas!
...as I, frankly, didn't find many very good pictures.
Fair enough. I can understand you. (I know, scary...) Well apart from the fact that I really thought you'd like one of the pictures I entered.
I know, I
have a taste for pictures that sometimes is different. For example,
I don't like flower and pet pictures.
Not much of that in this challenge...
When I settled for some voteable pictures they were taken outside
the timeframe
Really? Which?
and too big, respectively.
Did not notice. Just look at them at the 800 size and it should be ok.
Forgive me, but I don't care to find other less
likeable pictures to vote for instead and...
I understand...
well, I hope for other
more free-wheelin' minds to come and vote. I'll check in next month
instead.
Next challenge is running already :)

Cheers

It certainly isn't encouraging more people to participate, especially those who already have reservations.

You're among friends - keep unconstructive negativism to yourself.

Hi Jens,

No no no. I allready voted for your picture the last time, accidently of course. And that was even a bug! I remember though I liked the whirriness and the color in that picture.

have a taste for pictures that sometimes is different. For example,
I don't like flower and pet pictures.

Just an example. Add bugs. And add pictures with no people and no constructions or traces of human activity.
When I settled for some voteable pictures they were taken outside
the timeframe
Really? Which?
Double Time
Never enough
Time on his hands

furthermore, some pictures have no EXIF at all:
Travelling Time
9 months
Time alone
Burnt-out-...
Migration time
Cat with time...
Suspended...

But now I really feel petty. Still, this is the Main Challenge and I think the rules for the main challenge should be honored.
And no, I have not submitted anything to the Contest Gallery.
and too big, respectively.
Did not notice. Just look at them at the 800 size and it should be ok.
Picture 40, 340 and 350 are too heavy. OTOH somebody made a decent job with a pano and managed to keep it within the limit (in the Exhibition gallery). Either we have rules, or we skip them.

Oh yes. For the voting I mean.

Zooming is always second to using the correct prime.

You are right. Sometimes I slip away. It's just what was on my mind when I posted. That part wasn't necessary and I'm sorry for that.

LoL, how nice of you...

That's terrible, Jonas. You seem to love sunsets! #yuck#
Double Time
Never enough
Time on his hands
Well, I didn't vote for them.
furthermore, some pictures have no EXIF at all:
That's right. I just saw that the rules say "please leave ... intact". It would have been more than nice of the host's to make me and us aware of it, if really missing EXIF data would be a reason for exclusion. My more involved workflow loses EXiF. I can put it back, but it would be the same technique used for cheating, so what would be the point? With any of these challenges, we have to trust that people are honest. I'm not upgrading my older but nice software to EXIF-savvy version(s) for this challenge. That debate really is pathetic, IMO and takes away the last bit of fun of these challenges.

330, too. People forgot to resave at a smaller size. This, too, would be the hosts duty to note.

Regarding the EXIF data comments: from my prespective, I could probably figure it out, I just never have done it before.

Luckily I also organize all of my RAW shots in folders by date, so I can post with a clean conscience, and I don't modify the timestamps on the PEF files... 8-)

Cheers,
