2040 or 3020 and maybe the 700....Which do you all reccomend?

Just curious... where did you find a deal for $360 and no shipping charge? BTW, I think you have to include overnight shipping charges when using the Staples price match.

I think I will be getting a 3020 because of an excellent price I am
getting. I am not positive in my decision yet, but its possible I
will buy it.

I can get it from Staples.com. They price match any store, web
site or otherwise. So I can essentially get them to pricematch it
from a website for $360 and the site has free shipping. This would
be a very good deal. I am still deciding though.

Does that seem like a good deal?

Has anyone ever tried the Staples price matching?

Why is that?

Thats the link. Its not somewhere I would actually order the camera from as I have heard bad things about them, but I can use it to pricematch.

See my post on the other thread reagrding my price matching experience with Staples. I suspect the theory Staples using in justifying the next-day charge is that you can go in the store and purchase their camera the same day.

The store you are looking at charges $101 for next-day, so the price match would be $461. Check out http://www.zerodeliver.com . They have the 3020 for $378 with a next-day charge of $65 for a total of $443.

With sales tax (which you may have to pay anyway depending on where you live), you're looking at paying maybe $100 to $120 more by buying at Staples. To me, that was worth the piece of mind of being able to go into a reputable store and buying the camera.

Good luck with your purchase. Again, I think you'll enjoy any of the Olympus "C" series that you choose.

But the camera is ugly.
The features that the 3000 has over the 3020 dont really interest
me too much. Not because they arent good, but because I would
never take advantage of them or even use them.

I do like the advantages of the 3020 over the 3000 though.

Thanks for your help :D

Yes, I know, but at the moment I dont have that kind of money to spend. Its too much for me, I was hoping to get it for around 360-380 at the most. Guess that wont happen :(

So I probably wont be getting a camera now, no other choices for the money I have.

You can always just go ahead and mail-order it in the $380 range.

True, but I wouldnt know who to order from. I would be worried about who I was dealing with and then if it was defective shipping back and forth would be costly and a hassle.

Since I've been reading this post (I'm also trying to find the "right" camera for $400 max) I've been looking at this site:

http://www.mpsuperstore.com/digital/indexMy.htm?discr6505.htm

Someone had mentioned that they found this link on one of Microsoft's home pages (and that, to them, inferred the potential trustworthyness). I'd probably agree. MS isn't likely to let an irreputable dealer advertise on their pages. You might want to check it out - $397 although we're talking $32 shipping & handling and insurance....

Oops! That link takes you to the Fuji Finepix 4800 I am also considering.. Sorry about that - use this one:

Click on "Digital Cameras" in the upper left corner, and scroll down to Olympus.
