Hi,

Just got home yesterday from camping, got some photos of this fella. There was a family of them on the other side of the river, so I had to swim and walk through the water, then crawl up the riverbank on my gut. There is no one around for miles, so they weren't too shy. Only resized for here.

Cheers,
Bob.

Hi Bob,

Nice shot, sounds like you really put some effort in to get it. Were you up in the top end, hard to tell from the pic exactly but it looks like a young Antilopine Wallaroo. Good score!

Nice pic, I really enjoy seeing wildlife from your country, truely unique and different. I would love to see them in person. Ron P Thanks for posting.

Hi Ron,

Thanks for looking. After that shot, I swam back and got the family and video. That's the closest we got ever, after lots of trips bush. We love it.

Cheers,
Bob.

Good Onya Bob, you certainly are the ridgy-didge 'cause no offsider is gonna swim across the woopwoop with their camera for a picture of a Wallaby. Drop the camera in the drink and that would've made ya a Wally - lol. I'm expecting a picture of a Bunyip next, so get on it and a Jillaroo will not do :)

In the spirit of Occam’s Razor one should embrace the less complicated formulation or simply put, less is more.

Gidday Stan,

I just got home from the beach with my Young Fella, and saw your post. Keep smiling Mate, you gave us a good laugh, thanks heaps.
I'm getting good at doing the one arm sidestroke :-)

Cheers,
Bob.

I guess my Strine ain't bad for a yank from never never. I've never been down under, can't stand on my head, maybe I need more Vegemite. Take care mate, see ya on the other side of the lens :) nuff yabber for now :) Time for my sheila and the ole idiot box.

Hi Bob, what a spirit you have crossing the water just for the shot of this wallaby.... and this one critter we never have in Malaysia. Maybe in the zoo. Thanks for sharing.
