couldn't wait to try this baby out but which way to go to give it a bit of a test... f4.5 1/4000 wide open hand held



Macro ... from 3 metres away LOL, f8 1/320 hand held :-)



just testing out the detail f5.6 1/400 hand held



good for action shots f5.6 1/640 hand held



and nice bokeh 5.6 1/1600 hand held



No wonder you guys love this lens :-)

Nice to see that your new baby has arrived safe and sound. That is one heck of a great lens. I especially like the fact that it shoots good wide open even. Wish I had one of them beauties. Someday, maybe.

We do. To be honest, I held off a bit because I thought I did not need a 300mm lens....
Yeah Right.... As if "thinking" and "need"have anything to do with LBA

WOW! Great shots (and it ain't just the lens). How did you EVER catch that dragon fly with a long tele! Very impressive.

The dragonfly is truely amazing, but I have to say that as a "flower guy" I love the milkpod one. Wonderful sharpness, and beautiful composition. Thanks for the "eye candy".

Some very nice first shots there, Shane. I've been looking for a copy of this lens for over a year now... you've reminded me that I must keep looking! I'll have to stick to my Tokina 80-400 for now...

Incredible also that these were taken at ISO 200. Unfortunately, the only SR I have at the moment is my Benbo tripod...
