Hi all,

This is my first post & I want to thank Carmen, Juli, JD, Maxven, Jay S, Bill H & all the other stewarts of this Oly Forum for your enthusiasm, knowledge & accessories testings since 1999 (yes, I read all your related threads as far back as that).

I especially want to thank all those who have a firm grip on the understandings of Physics as applied to Photography who have patiently taken the time to educate the masses of the average like me. It's much appreciated.

Even though I didn't get the superduper price on this model, it's a glove to my needs & I'm looking forward to rediscovering (digi) photography once again. I'm 3/4 into completing my gear, & much thanks is owed to this forum. I hope to contribute when I can in the future.---e100rs-

Congratulations and Thank You for the kind words!!

We look forward to some pictures when you get a chance.

Hey Carmen, & Jay S.,

Ever since I stumpled upon this group, I've been reading (catching up with you guys) on the here & now. So I had A LOT of reading. Then right after I got my camera, came the holidays, shopping & distractions. As of this writing, I've still don't know the features well enough yet that the pocket manual is still with me in the bag.

So far, all my few pics have been experimental & AF, nothing interesting. I'm waiting on my 285 HV to arrive soon.---e100rs-

Yes, this forum is certainly one of the best uses of the internet I
have encountered...sort of an international neighborhood...howdy
neighbor :)
+ I think the internet was born of sharing info in the military, as such, it's no different than us sharing likewise. It's the commercialization (once again) that bothers me.
E-1ooRS, B-3oo, A-2oo, TC0N-14, FL-4o, Kenko .5WA
+ How often do you use your A-200 over your B-300 given that they are 0.2x difference only?---e100rs-

Not to put a damper on anything, but it was less to share information cooperatively than to ensure launch orders could be issued, even as parts of the network were being destroyed.

However, the cooperative nature and sharing of information among the net's early pioneers and users is what showed the true strength of this medium.

I'm sorry I am late replying, but all I saw was 100RS in the subject line and didn't check until today. Welcome aboard. This hobby is really great fun. I'm about to complete my wish list of assorted gear. Unless a bigger megapixel UZi comes out, I guess I'm set for awhile. I even bit the bullet and got that FL-40 thingy. It's really nice. I ordered a big bag today from B & H to hold all of this stuff for my two cameras, etc. Start posting some photos. -- http://www.pbase.com/julivalley/galleries21oo , B-3oo3o4oJuli

Given the fact that you're willing to fork out close to $400, it had better be nice. :-) But seriously, given your photographic experience, how does the TTL justifies the switch. How does the dial become a hassle in comparison. I mean, I think it would be more like driving Auto or Manual versus riding a Motocycle to a Car, correct?

So which model did you go with?---e100rs-
