D30 rebate period

Canon's Website says rebate goes until Jan 31; coupon says Dec 31.

Which is it?

You must have made the purchase before Dec 31st and you have until 31st January to claim the rebate.

My mistake! There is a promotion runing in the UK with various EOS products, so I must be thinking of them.

But what Mike said originally still holds. This web page,

says it applies to purchases made through January '02;
however, if you click the link to download the .pdf form
to send in,

http://www.usa.canon.com/rebates/camerapromo/pdf/EOStearpad.pdf

that form says the purchase must be made by Dec. 31, '01.

I called Canon Tech Support yesterday (Jan. 9, '02) about this.
I was told that the form was being updated, and NOT TO USE
the current form. Not that I've actually bought a D30; I'm
still debating on it vs. the D1H.

This conflicting info makes me more hesitant. I'd worry about
the rebate fulfillment person at Canon throwing out the form
because the offer on the form had obviously expired.

Thanks all -- I've tried to download the form again to check but it isn't working so either they're redoing it or my new computer's gotten cranky.

I've emailed B&H but no reply yet. I suspect they deal with the question daily.

I'd trust the people at Canon but make copies of everything I send. That microdrive is critical to my decision.

Nah, Canon extended the warranty till the end of January. Typical rebate games. Nikon did it forever with the 9xx and 8xx series.--Dave Lewis
