There is a good deal of at least casual interest in this camera, and a lot of different price points have been thrown around. Just curious to get a feel for peoples' predictions here.
Not what you think the camera SHOULD be sold at (although if you want to give your opinion on that too that would be fine ;-) ), but what you predict the actual price will be.
With the price of the SD14 now known (and a bit on the high side of people's expectations), I don't think the DP1 will be priced anywhere near typical P&S.
I think the overall package is better than the Ricoh GR-D, which has a MSRP of $699. So I'm thinking around $800 or $900 for the DP1.
I simply don't think Sigma can profitably sell it for less (even without a hotshoe or viewfinder), since it is a niche camera. For me, that probably means I will have to scrounge for one on EBay in 2 or 3 years...but regardless I will try to buy one.
So please, guess away!!
