Finally Jessops drop 400d Price

Jessops seem to have taken note that they were way to expensive for the 400d and have dropped the price to £532

Their body only price is £489, which is quite competative.

Having already bought a 400d recently for myself (£499 local dealer), I bought another for mum today.

red-onions had thebest online price, and have got camers in stock, so I took a print out of the web page down to Jessops. They price matched without argument and I got a 400d for £471.

It seems that as long as a competitor has the item in stock, jessops will price match.

I went into 2 different jessops and neither would price match so i told them that they could stuff there £619 camera up there backsides i may have to go back to laugh in there faces as they have less commision now due to higher prices driving customers away

WHen I telephoned the local Jessops, they told me that they no longer price match...However there was a mobile poster outside their door which said they did.

IF the children in the shop are not prepared to play, ask to see the manager, who probably has to authorise ANY price discounts.

As someone who has worked at Jessops, you should know that the manager doesn't HAVE to authorise any price match and indeed may be prevented from doing so by those further up the chain.

There is often a bit more flexibility if you are buying something as part of a package since they can discount a part of it below their authorised lowest price while still keeping the overall set within guidlines.

They did a Price-match here a couple of weeks ago for £528 with Play.com but, I suppose if a manager thinks he can get away with it, he will. Bit of a blow all that work to get £70 knocked of and then they do it a week later anyway. The other offer they have is a tamron 70-300mm at half price if you buy a canon. What I did and that was cool
