Hi,

I am new with digital cameras and am looking at getting a good camera for pics for the web. I have been looking at many different brands. I have come down to 3 cameras that I like. The Sony DCS-F707, Canon G2 and the Nikon Coolpix 885. I am going toward the Nikon since it has the best price/features. What are some opinons on this? Am I making the correct decesions. Any ideas or help that can be given would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Joe

don't forget taht you need to buy the battery charger and rechargable batteries. They are not part of the package when you buy.

I tried it in a camera store and got some red eye. Not real bad but noticable. I personally would not buy a camera with any red eye problem. Don't take my word for it. Go to a store and have the clerk take a flash of you right in your face. Keep your eyes wide open. Check the results. I've done this with several cameras. The NIkon 995 is red eye free. The 990 has a bad red eye problem. The 885 is somewhere in the middle. The Sony 707 is red eye free, as is the Minolta Dimage 7.
