Did a wave of WT-3As become available recently? Thom Hogan made some references recently that suggested it. BH Photo shows it as backordered and they usually don't advertise things that haven't made it to market. I ordered from Adorama because there was nothing to indicate that they didn't have it in stock and then received a message from them that it was backordered. Several vendors indicate that it will be available in the fall of 2006.

Yes. I have mine. Moreover, at the moment, it's the only way to get the 2.0 firmware for the D200.

$550, $50 less than B&H.
And it fits the D200 well. None of that shifting that the MB-D100 had on the D100. It does add a bit of weight, though, and I'll keep it off when I'm not using it for wi-fi. The smaller size is one reason I use the D200 more than my D2x. (The D2x with the WT-2 must be a brute!)

Somehow I expected some fanfare and excitement, but it just slipped out quietly. I didn't know until I saw that reference on Thom's site today and emailed him to ask about it.

Eye-film promised to set out a beta trial in Q3 2006. I emailed them yesterday to ask when the good news would be published and they said they * would* come with an anouncement in a short while. I'm very curious as I believe they're talking about a $100 price point.
