Hello,

Five minutes to midnight on the 18th of September, my first-born son was born, 2855 grams. Needless to say, these are very exciting times for us!

Nicolas was born 3 weeks early, which was very unexpected, as everyone was telling us to expect a week or two overtime... I guess he was eager to get started in life ;)

I thought I'd share a couple of photographs taken at the hospital. He sure is the cutest thing I've ever seen! And of-course, thats my un-biased opinion ;)

Congratulations. The birth of your first child is the start of a new wonderful life for you and your wife. Nothing beats it. Enjoy being a dad, take a lot of photos, you be amazed how quickly they grow up.

Cheers

.... on experiencing the magic that only the father of a newborn first child can know. I cried unashamedly at the birth of my 2 sons - a very emotional experience. Enjoy the coming months and years - share every bit of time you can with him and his mother. The time passes so quickly.

It's a very special time, and it changes your life forever. You'll wonder what you ever did without him as time goes by. He is a little cutie too. All the best.
Cheers.

Never judge a photo by the person who has taken it.
Never judge a person by the photo they have taken.

And I'll agree that she is cute, I don't say that about most babies.

She'll be a treasure, I assure you.

Beautiful kid, Joachim! Congratulations, i'm sure you'll love the parenting (though i'm not a parent myself, people seem to enjoy that ;) Your excitement says it all, all the best to your family!
cheers

Congratulations! Being the father of a 2 year old and 3 month old I can tell you that there is NOTHING better than being a dad. The smiles and hugs you get from your children are one of the best things in life.

And of course he wanted to get started early -- had to see what all this fuss about this K10d thingy was ;)

Congratulations Joachim! You and his mother must be very proud, ecstatic, excited, (and pretty tired at the moment). Your photos of him are very touching, especially the second one. I like them a lot. Thanks for sharing Nicolas' beginnings with us! Looking forward to keeping up with him like we do with the other 'forum kids' and watching him grow!
