Hi,
Nice prospective however… since you asked for a little critique, here you go.
I really do like the perspective, shooting down hard from over head, nicely done.
What I don’t like is, you attempted to center the model (which is fine) however; she’s slightly off center, more space to the right than the left and you created a great deal of “conflict” by just cutting off the toes.
Either crop out the feet entirely or show the feet but, just cropping off the toes, creates “conflict” with the edge of the image.
I do not agree with the others that stated she needed to smile; sometimes an unemotional look can express many moods.
I do agree that the image is a little too yellow or more specifically, lacks punch and contrast. If you were going for a more ‘drab’ look that’s cool but, really make it drab and dull, (rainy day, misty or foggy day, sad look, etc) if not… add contrast; it’s that ‘in-between’ kind of drab but kind of lacking contrast that is a little off.
Lastly, you are definitely there… just watch the cropping a bit and try a little more to capture the mood and you got it!
One tip I might toss your way is… set the aperture at F/2.8 and focus on her eyes, you’ll have her face sharp but the rest of her will fad off into blurriness, and the background will be blurred out, that might give you a more pro look over all.
