I was working in Crestview, FL today and took the opportunity to make a dive about an hour east of the jobsite before working. Had to leave the house at 4:30AM to fascilitate the dive and still make it to work on time, but it was worth it. We dove just after sunrise. Metering wasn't right on, but I was able to reclaim some detail from the shadows in PS.

Lovely.

I have entered the water at that exact point several times myself.

Are you a cave diver by any chance?

It's easy to see the effect of pushing up the shadows, specialy on the trees, but its a very nice photo. Thanks for posting and continue taking nice pics like this one.

I dabble in some of the more forgiving caverns, Morrison is my favorite. I dive it as well as Cypress Springs regularly. Vortex is a bit too much of a playground - but excellent for training - and fun at night when the crowds are elsewhere... Jackson Blue is nice as is ShangriLa(small though) - the whole Mill Pond is great for photos. Royal is milky, but very nice looking from the surface at times of low water. Ginnie is fun, but usually very crowded. Paradise has alot to look at if you like to hover upside down looking at fossils(I do), Devils Den is somewhat similar and makes for a great photo from above water. Blue Grotto is kinda plain, and all the rockfaces are defaced by 'graffiti'(careless divers with dive knives).

I still want to check out the cavern's at Manatee Springs, Catfish Hole, and Blue Spring(OC).

I agree :( Optimally, I would have had a tripod and bracketed exposure... Didn't really have the time, or a tripod handy(or time to rig a stand-in).
