Hi STF,

Saw lots of "PF" posts as well as lots of "not a problem - 5 min to fix" posts.

I've tried many of the recomended plugins / actions but nothing really does the job well in 5 min. (at lest i have yet to see)

So wanted to share an effective (and free :) technique of PF removal that i use.

(for the lasy to click : NO ! , no color selection / HUE adjustments included :)

Of course for some it will be not a big news...

There's no crying in photography.....

unless you forgot to charge your batteries.

 
I'll give this technique a shot (once I find the 'sponge' equivalent on Corel PhotoPaint!) Most PF removers I've seen are actions, which I can't use. I have a plug-in for CA removal but I don't really know how to set it & have not gotten any good results.

Never used PhotoPaint but looks like what they describe is the one... just enter a negative value of (-99) to desaturate...

Please report back if it works for you.

I saw SO many Purple Fringing related posts. SO many dissapointed people and SO many who sold their cameras.

So frankly speaking I expected little more...responses for this post from the 300+ people who read the article on my site from this forum (so far)

Sometimes there can be easily 50 responses to a snapshot of a girl somb post. And its little dissapointing to get an ignorance in response to a few hours of work that had been done especially for the members of this forum.

I feel little stupid writing this post... whats the purpose ? well... i dont know. and No i dont expect praise posts but i did expect some kind of response...

Does it work for you ? Do you have ideas how to improve ? or maybe automate ?

This reminds me same situation with my other article posted long time ago..

It took few Days of work to make these extremely precise and detailed tests which unfortunately can't be seen on any review site including this one. Same story... 700+ views and almost no responses...

If it works then why not to tell it and by telling you will keep this thread longer and make more people benefit from it. After all there is nothing comerical here.... I'm not selling any plugins or actions. My "site" has no ads.

Curently i'm working on somth esle that looks as an interest to many people and requires even more work. But .......

Anyway... sorry for attracting your attention with this post.
