Hi thats a very evocative shot..............do you have any photos of the stained glass windows of the church in colour please?

Jen

one of the main reasons this one is in black and white is the fact that the stained glass isnt stained lol. At least in that window, its all transparent, i'm not sure why, i think maybe because of the age?

your B&W treatment is very solid... I like your black blacks.. It seems when I try a B&W my blacks come out sorta dark grey..

... but whether dark grey or black black... it is a moody pic to be sure..

it seems to me that the soul or spirit has left these old churches and that your pic makes me feel just a little sorry for these old museums of faith....

Like Jen says it is evocative... we know what it's supposed to be... but that iron rail and dark gloom has too much morbidity for me and my soul....

I saw my pic on each attempt, including my own, which is strange.
thanks for your comments, sorry if my shot depressed you a little :(

As far as the colors for the b&w, i find adjusting the levels and curves of the photos helps quite a great when trying to get that perfect tone.

... thanks for the B&W tip...

your pic is two thumbs up..
Please, no need to apologise, your pic

...as a contemplative it works really well.. It's just that these old churches just don't seem to have the fire that they once had. IMO.

BTW... I checked out the Deviant place... oh my, oh my. what a treasure trove of talent!

You've caused me to rethink what I've be snapping away at. I am very very glad you posted here at DPR.

very impressed by your stuff and the other Diviants.
