These were shot to be a christmas present for her boyfriend, so they're supposed to be a sexy look. Let me know what you think:

50mm f1.8, SB-800 through my 40" umbrella box:

50mm f1.8, bare SB-800:

Every shot is fantastic, but I do have one concern: her bra is showing in all of the first four shots. If you can carefully work to clone that out of those four, you'll have a great set of shots.

Thanks for posting.

really lovely shots, very pleasing. i'd be interested to see the images pre-pp

i particularly like the first one...i'm immediately drawn to the face and the arm leads my eye to the suggestion of legs which infers depth. well done

Nice light. Very flattering to the model.

Best wishes,

Thanks for the comments, I agree with everything. About the bra, my neanderthal side liked it orginally, but I see the point, a black bra would have gone better with a black dress, but we were on a time limitation and had a few outfits to change into (her, not me).

I'll put up some pre-post-process later on, along with some more pics.

Did you photoshop in the sunrays above her head, or were they real?

1st and 4th and the most complimentary to the model, I think. Cool stuff.

these are all nice. The last one could be better. But I really like the light on it.

Terrific lighting in all of them. However, I would agree with those who suggest cloning out the bra in all shots where they show. This will give a "no bra" impression which is a "sexier" look.

A deliberately displayed black or lace bra might have been a good idea, but unless you want to reshoot, cloning out the bra is a good option.

Well done.

I like them in the order you posted them! Very nice shots. Her boyfriend should be very happy with these.

Thanks! I agree with you on the last one. I like the angle of the kicker light, but looking at the finished product, I needed some light camera right. Maybe a reflector or moving the kicker would have done it. Food for thought for next shoot.

sweet, I never saw that they looked like sunrays, but they kinda do. But yes, that's a white backdrop you're seeing.

I like #4 the best. These are sexy but also very tasteful - as a
woman I appreciate that. Very flattering. Thank you for sharing.
and thank you...tastefully sexy was the exact look I was going for.

I do have one question. On some of the low-key images, I was trying to PP my way to a "warmer" look. I've read that you can do this by converting the image to CMYK, and playing with the channel mixer, or one of the other controls, but I couldn't get it to work. Can anyone give me some tips?

Thanks,
Dave
