Hey friends,

Boring, OT paragraph which you should feel free to skip!:

[ON PEDESTAL] I've thought about it, and I will continue to post images here occasionally. I have a lot of friends here, and the impression I have gotten is that the majority of the people here don't want member such as myself or Alex or Drummer to disappear just because we ended up getting a non-Oly camera or a dslr camera. I will not be filling my OTF posts with dillegal images as I was doing, but will instead post a link and possibly a sample image. Also, I will be posting my typical and more frequent "image innundation posts" in other more appropriate forums. But I will still post here occasionally when I feel the urge. End of story. Sorry in advance if any of you don't like this, but please just feel free to skip by my posts. And if it really bothers you, send me a private email and we can discuss it there. [ OFF PEDESTAL]

Whew - not that any of you care about the above, but I had to get it out!

Now, onto the important stuff lol!...

Some friends and I went on a really nice hike a few weekends ago up to a place called Brandywine Meadows, which is near Whistler BC. We didn't know anything about this hike (in fact, we did it because we were denied from doing our intended hike), so it was a very pleasant suprise. We only made it up to the meadows, but apparently you can hike to the top of the hightest mountain in the background (Brandywine Mountain, funnily enough), so you know where I'll be going next summer lol!.

Here is a link to the gallery:

I considered not embedding a sample image (as it is d-illegal), but I decided to include it so that you can decide more quickly whether or not you want to visit the gallery.

Cheers,

Wayne

My friend your gallery is awesome (again :) ) !
But your OT paragraph reflects my recent thoughts as well.

I occasionally take pics with my legal camera but the vast majority of my shooting is with the illegal camera.

I think that I will do the same like you. After all this is by far the best DP forum with great people.

My fav : http://www.pbase.com/wayne_n/image/66535513 (I'm always in favour of pics with water element ;) )

PS : Do you know when and where is good for Salmon fishing in Canada ? I really want to make a Photo/hiking/fishing trip there in the future !

What you’re doing? You are killing my aspiration. I finally took some pictures few weeks ago and after seeing this, there’s no way they’ll see the light, lol.

Wayne my friend, what a beautiful gallery and hike. The one you embedded is – well, I’m speechless!!! Gorgeous! No matter what camera is in your hand, you’re creating art here.

Keep them coming, please!

Cheers,
Alex.

I looked at your gallery and your "teaser" is far and away the most pleasing to me. The rest are very nice and interesting. But, I think "Wildflowers" is outstanding. A very nice landscape photo, indeed.

Thanks, Wayne. I enjoyed the "teaser" and went to the gallery and the images are wonderful. Looks like a great place to hike. This is a great way to keep in touch and share your photos.

Yawn!! I wished I'd skipped this paragraph as you had suggested! ;-))
Absolutely breathtaking vistas - as we've come to expect from your hike pictures. Air seems so clean and the landscape perfect for walking / hiking. Definately a region to visit one day!
