Flowerchild 2: show us your best flowers

The TV and newspapers had casted a deep gloom over the world lately, all those murders and suicides were very discouraging. You started this thread and now there are so many eye pleasing pictures, life can be beautiful again.

I am going to teach my younger son and the son of a brother in the church about photography (with my limited experience), I hope these youngsters can learn something about the beauty of this world and have a better future.

I have been looking through some of these posts and there are some fabulous flowers shown here.

I looked at your hibiscus macro and remembered I had a similar one. I pulled it up but it doesn't hold a candle to yours. For what it's worth here it is.

Those are drenched in color and rich in texture. Lovely.

You should start a botanical garden. You can charge admission.

I love the colors and its nicely composed. Good use of the 16:9 format.

Your looks like this one, except yours is much better. Huge flower on a big tree and I have no idea what it's called

I would pick a woman like the last one. One with a complex personality.

You entirely deserve the credit for this thread, thanks for the excellent input!

Looks like it was needed, judjing from the number of posts we have. And what amazinq quality and variety of shots! It's nice to look at the thread in 'flat view' and just look at all the pictures, so nice.

I'll take some time to make a few comments to the posts later on.

Cheers to you and all the posters - Ackab

It's not a flower but it's a garden. I know you were trying to get a pic of the tower with the swan infront of it. I was up there last Sunday and there they were so I took this pic for you.

A bird of paradise but this one is a 5 compared to your 10

It's my day off but I have some stuff to get done for the wife so I am signing off from this puter.

I love #1. Sharp focus and very rich color.

Some of the first shots with my FZ50, the first 'real' camera following my Powershot A75. So please be patient with this mild attempt. If the images lack sharpness, blame it on me, not the camera!

I should really know their names but I frankly ignored the signs in our botanic garden and enjoyed the beautiful day.

sorry for the cut off bottom in this one :-/

Cheers,
Torsten

The first picture is the best. What a beautiful place. You captured the feeling in that photo.
