This is a shot from our garden.
Summer is ending, Autumn is coming.

Good color and definition in the petals. I think evening and early mornings are the best for the red roses.

I've never been able to get a red rose that wasn't blown out. The tripod and shutter remote really help a lot!

Having fun with photos. A little searching can go a long way.

I liked the "echo" of the blue flower. A bit more dof have been better probably.

Cheers Michel

Lovely picture. The image opened unexpanded on my browser so I just got a square format image of the left hand side and I actually liked that more than the landscape format. I found it to be more 'contained' and less busy. I just love the autumnal colours though.

Flare works well in this shot. With the sun right there in th e shot there isn't much you can do. Try highding it behind a branch of some other object is about the only option. A good lens hood will help when shooting close to the sun, even then it might be necassary to cast a shadow onto the lens with a strategicly placed had or a bit of card.

One day trip in Polish mountains. The last photo is the best :)

This mountain is called "The Big Owl" :)

And hut called "The Owl"

Birches on the trail

The view from the castle tower

Medieval castle

Mountain lake

And the picture in the restaurant over the lake
