Any D200 users out there can you confirm whether the D200 has a voice recorder on the vertical grip. I had just assumed it does, same as the D100 grip, but I can't see anything about it in the specs.

Jamie, who cares!!

How about if I were to close out every topic you wanted to discuss,...like you just did to the last one I wanted to contribute to less than 45 minutes ago..

Thank you for taking it upon yourself to decide that no one should discuss that topic any longer!!

Seriously, get a life!!

Sorry Mr Rootbeer, but that topic has been discussed ad-infinitum on these boards year after year. It invariably has the same arguments from each side with little or no new information being presented either way. It's nothing more than a Nikon-bashing opportunity for those ill-informed troublemakers who like to invade the Nikon forums and stir up trouble.

Mr. I know-it-all..

So what?

You obviously had NOTHING to contribute other than to tell everyone to shut up!

I hate jerks with keyboards like you!

Go troll somewhere else!

The fact is,...that there are several topics that get discussed all the time, again, and again, and again... Some people are new to this message board, and some are a bunch of old hot gasses that are constantly stinking up the place with trolling such as that!

Some people just like to contribute to the discussions here, and they are maxed out at 150 replies; many times leading to unresolved issues, and pulling poop like what you did certainly didn't help!

So,...what did you think you in your massive wisdom think was going to happen..? Did you think you, single handedly were going to change the forum, so that everyone would think like you do..?? Do you think that will be the end of that topic, period?

Follow the most simple rule... If you don't have anything to say, don't say anything. (....and don't tell others to shut up!)

What you did in that other thread should get you band from the forum. Not sure why you felt the need to post like you did as it was close to the 150 mark at the time of your first post. It seems that at the time of your first post all the bashing already happened. So what was your point??

NO there is no voice recorder on any part of the D200. Why would there be.

I'm big enough to apologise to anyone offended by my premature thread ending. You're right, I shouldn't have done it, but I'll plead temporary insanity caused by endless Canon trolling driving me craaaazy.

I promise it won't happen again ;-)
Mr. I know-it-all..
Far from it.

to shut up!
While not defending myself too strenuously, that wasn't what I was thinking..... Perhaps telling all the Canon trolls to shut up and go back to their own forums.
I hate jerks with keyboards like you!
A little harsh, I think.
Go troll somewhere else!
Pot, kettle.

My point exactly.

I'll give you that one.

to happen..? Did you think you, single handedly were going to

No, I was just naively thinking I could change the world.

OK.

As I said to rootbeer, I'll apologise for that. Shouldn't have done it, and it wasn't going to achieve anything. Just a temporary brain-fart on my part.

All I'll say in my defence is that there must be 30 threads on that exact subject on this forum already. Gets a bit frustrating seeing the same thing time and time again.

It's actually very handy. D100 had it with the grip, D2h/hs/x/xs all have it. The Canon 1D series has it too. The recorder adds a voice note/caption to the shot so you remember what/when/who the shot is of. Very useful at event phototgraphy.
