Photography now is the footprint of the future.

There is no cure for LBA except more lenses.

ahh! I feel much better now as well. For a few days I had some creepy feeling without the bug macros.
those are stunning as usual.

I was rather concerned at your removal, glad to see you made it back. Your macros allways kick ass, this being no exception!

Hi Mike!

Wonderful as always, especially the spider. Glad you're back into the macro world as well. (Kind of expected one of them to be winking, though.) ;-D

Are you allowed to tell how you get the fly to pose for you?

Mike: Great stuff...that A*200/4 macro is without a doubt the finest lens that I WANT NOW....NAME YOUR PRICE!

Thank you Kaushik!

It was nice to be out there with the macro lens again, hopefully I'll be able to make a few again tomorrow, but I do need to take one of my lenses out for some serious testing as well.

Cheers,
Mike

Hi Mark!

Welcome to the forum and I'm honored that you're posting here for the first time. Do you shoot macro yourself as well? In either case, we would love to see some of your work of course :-)

Thanks you Heinrich,

The flies were very cooperative with me so I did get a few of them. I'll return to the spot another time to see if they are still around (Must be the excrements that were laying there in the bush ;-))

Cheers,
Mike

Hi Arpe,

Of course, just move very slowly and try not to make any quick movements. Be patient and only press the shutter if you are confident that the angle is right for them. If they start to move around, just wait in place as they tend to come back in the same area.

Cheers,
Mike

Thanks Les,

The eyes are always the point for me where I judge the photo, quite a lot of times the reflection of the flash in the eyes is too big and I dismiss the photo therefore. A drawback of flash photography unfortunately.

But indeed, these turned out Ok,

Hi Don!

The A* is indeed very fine, but to be honest the FA* is better to work with, the focusing on the FA* is soo much smoother an quicker!
Optical both are stunniing of course.

But selling one of them? I don't think I'm ready to do so!

Cheers,
Mike
