Good price for SD700IS in Canada

I found a great price in Canada two days ago on the Canon SD700IS.

I thought I would share it here for any of you fellow Canucks looking for this camera.

Black's Photo stores have the SD700IS on sale for only $449.99 Canadian.

I printed this off at home and then took it into Future shop and asked for their usual price match, which, of course, means they beat the price by 10% of the difference.

My price for a new, unopened Sd700IS on Monday was just $434.98. As a bonus I have a 30 day exchange policy if the camera is faulty or if I just am not happy with it.

Also, for anyone looking for the S3IS. Sears had it on sale last Friday for only $519 Canadian. I was told the sale was for another couple of weeks.

Hey bariol, nice find. Thanks for the head's up. I bought by SD700IS at Henry's in late July for $579 and got the 2yr HELP Warranty that allows price matching for 45 days. I'm gonna call Henry's tomorrow to look into a credit; $130 is nothing to sneeze at.

Good stuff!... you should also try to have them match Aden Camera, they have it even cheaper at $439.99

I just bought mine at Best Buy last week and paid $489.99 plus I got a $50 gift card (they had a promo on at the time)...but I'm still going back today to get the extra $50 back!

Thanks, I'm on my way to Henry's at Kennedy Commons now to see what happens. Spoke to a sales guy there earlier today and he said not a problem even if I went over the 45 day price match guarantee. It's funny though, today is the 45th day and I just found this thread last night! What timing!

That's great... glad it was an easy process for you.

I also got mine price-matched today at 439.99 from Best Buy but I had to go to two different locations... the first one wouldn't do it because I had already rec'd the $50 gift card that they had given me as a promo when I bought it. Went to another location and they price-matched it no questions... so, with their 110% price match policy, I ended up getting the camera for $433.99 + tax and I also got to keep my $50 gift card... sweet deal on a sweet camera!

Now I can head over to FutureShop tomorrow and get them to give me another $11 back. ( Price match +10% of the difference)

Hah-hah, at this rate we will have the price of our new SD700's down to $399 by the end of the month!!

uh--that's Canadian dollars, and aren't they worth less than US dollars? So, like, $439 Canadian is $400 US? Or am I all balled up? And if I'm not, how do I get it for these prices from US?
