Alternative to Canon Wireless Transmitter

http://www.eye.fi/index.htm

Might this be a good solution? Depending on the price, it should prove
interesting with GB of storage and wifi transmission too? I didn't find
a wifi range, but certainly within a studio. A quick confirm of data reaching
the computer or PDA and you can delete and go on working.

Um, what exactly did I comprehend incorrectly?
lets ask what where you able to comprehend ...

here is what i posted

-------------------------------------

if you have a 802.11g connection and the connection is perfect (54Mbps) i would guess you would get a data transmission rate of about half that
-------------------------------------

here is what you posted

------------------------------------

Wi-fi inefficiency is considerable. 54m/bit wi-fi is a lot less than 1/2 the speed of 100m/bit wired ethernet.
------------------------------------

hmmm, can you read it NOW or do i have to break it down into words ?

If you buy a omnidirectional 15di antenna you get a good extension of range in all directions. The booster should extend it even further. Typical access points have 2-4dbi antennas. Of course.. you have to make sure the access point has a removable antenna... my Linksys does but my Netgear doesn't.

They also make wireless repeaters that you can put in various places to extend your range, but you will need a power supply for those. Of course, they let you work around obstacles by careful positioning.

There are outdoor access points around... a little more expensive, but weather sealed and with power over ethernet. Basically you run a Cat5 cable
up to 100 meters (I think) and power and network run over the same cable.

Lots of solutions. You may spend 1000-2000 dollars to get something that really covers all your needs, but you can probably get away with a 500 dollar investment that will work in most cases.

Even just the 15dbi antenna for 150 dollars will make quite a difference.

You're certainly a rude w@nker aren't you? I did not read the earlier message, you stupid git, or I would not have said that. Please give me enough credit to know how to bloody read.
Yes at 54 it is acceptable. The transmitter can do wireless G
and/or B as well as wired ethernet at 100Mbps
This statement can be just as easily interpreted as saying that "wireless performs the same as wired". It can also be interpreted as saying it can do wireless IN ADDITION TO wired ethernet. Perhaps you ought to be more accurate and concise in your statements lest you be misunderstood.

How about this:

"Yes at 54 it is acceptable. The transmitter can do wireless G and/or B IN ADDITION TO wired ethernet at 100Mbps"

or this:

"Yes at 54 it is acceptable. The transmitter can do wireless G and/or B AND CAN ALSO DO wired ethernet at 100Mbps"

Not nearly as ambiguous.

Any why come out shooting in the first place? All I said was, in short, if your wireless is performing the same as your wired eithernet, then your ethernet is poory configured. Obviously, I misunderstood what you were saying. But as I said, it can be interpreted either way.

Dumbest excuse i ever heard. Essentially you opened your mouth faster than you can use your pea brain ...

Right, .... in lala land maybe ...
Perhaps you ought to be more accurate and concise in your

Perhaps you should quit making dumb comments if you cant make sure you are correct first ...

And all i said was that your reading comprehension is not quite what it should be. So why do you get your panties all wet just because i state a fact ?
