Is anyone out there using the IPAQ power supply to drive the Dimage 7. Apparently it works, but I just wondered if anyone could tell me conclusively that it does, or warn me off using it if there's a problem

Regards

Andy

A friend I work with has a Dimage5 and he's been using the ipaq supply for a week or so now without any problems. I have a 7 and an Ipaq, and I plan on experimenting with it this weekend.

Confirmed by me. Dalantech is my alter ego... The Ipaq supply delivers 5 volts at 2 AH, more than enough for a Dimage camera.

Not only can you use the Ipaq's power supply, but you can put your CF card directly in the Ipaq's CF back )or PCMCIA back using a CF adapter) and display the images you took with your camera on the Ipaq's larger LCD screen. They both format the CF cards the same way...

I just don't understand one thing. iPAQ power supply is 5V 2A DC but the Dimage requires 6V DC . How does the 2 work.
I am confused.
Thanks,
Shankar.

If the iPaq works at 5V 2A, then the Cassiopeia E125 at 5.9V 2A should work even better.
